The interior is carefully choreographed into activity zones that are defined by open workspaces, optimising the amount of natural light into the shared space. A flatter hierarchy fosters more collaboration, thus moving people out of rooms not only promoted efficacy but has also significantly lowered overhead costs. We like to think that the interior of GFK as a cross-functional enclave. We gave GFK an open and flexible interior with overlapping functions. There are open and enclosed rooms for formal meetings, impromptu huddles, and privacy phone booths. These phone booths were introduced to accommodate the need for privacy in an open interior.
Some of the predefined requisites are for the conference room to have good acoustic quality and to allocate more seating capacity. Our designers have lined one wall with padded bench seating. The soft furnishings reduce echo while increasing more seating.
