World Gold Council office interior design at 6 Battery Road Singapore

World Gold Council’s new office at 6 Battery Road was designed as a professional and welcoming workplace with a quiet sense of luxury. Deep timber finishes, soft neutral colours and warm lighting give the office an executive character without making it feel formal or uninviting.

I.Dezign was appointed to complete the office fit-out within a demanding one-month timeline. The project required careful planning, fast decision-making and close coordination to deliver the space on schedule while maintaining the expected quality of craftsmanship and finishes.

“We engaged I.Dezign for our recent office fit-out under an exceptionally demanding timeline, giving them just one month to complete the entire project. Anyone familiar with fast-track renovations knows that challenges are inevitable, but what truly set I.Dezign apart was how they managed them.

Their execution was experienced and masterful; whenever issues arose, they worked with us to resolve them swiftly and professionally, without ever compromising on the timeline or the quality of the build.

Despite the extreme time crunch, the final craftsmanship and finishes reflected their high standards. Throughout the project, their staff consistently went out of their way to support us, providing proactive solutions that ensured a seamless handover.

I.Dezign proved to be a reliable partner for us and they are capable of delivering premium results under immense pressure. We have no qualms in re-engaging them in the future. To Linna, Jeslyne, Wilfred, Colbie, and team, we thank you for a job well done!”

The Project Challenge

The main challenge was the short project timeline. All design, fit-out and finishing work had to be managed efficiently, with any site issues resolved quickly to prevent delays.

The office also needed to reflect the prestige of World Gold Council while remaining comfortable and practical for everyday work. The design had to balance darker materials with natural light, open work areas and softer details.

Our Design Approach

I.Dezign used rich timber finishes, neutral tones and ambient lighting to create a warm and polished workplace.

At the entrance, an illuminated feature wall creates a strong first impression. Integrated display shelving and linear ceiling details add visual interest, while natural light and planter cabinets help keep the main workspace bright and refreshing.

The pantry was designed as a relaxed area for informal conversations and team interaction. Warm timber cabinetry, orange seating and two-tone flooring give the space its own identity while keeping it connected to the wider office design.

The executive boardroom features clean lines, integrated technology and a softly illuminated ceiling. Refurbished Humanscale chairs supplied by Crown Workspace were also reused within the office. This extended the life of existing furniture and supported a more sustainable workplace without reducing comfort or visual quality.

The Project Outcome

The completed office provides World Gold Council with a professional, comfortable and visually refined workplace. Each area supports a clear purpose, from focused daily work and formal meetings to informal team discussions.

Despite the tight timeline, the project was completed with careful attention to workmanship, finishes and handover requirements. The client praised I.Dezign’s professional execution, proactive problem-solving and ability to deliver a premium result under pressure.

This case study shows how thoughtful office interior design in Singapore can combine brand prestige, employee comfort, practical planning and responsible furniture reuse.
